Acceptable Use Policy of kimbanet Broadband Services 

The Policy:

1)    All use of kimbanet Broadband Internet Services shall be intended to facilitate the exchange of information and otherwise be consistent with the broad objectives of kimbanet. 

2)   Users of Internet Service shall promote efficient use of the networks to minimize, and avoid if possible, unnecessary network traffic and interference with the work of other users of the interconnected networks. 

3)   Users of Internet Service shall not disrupt any of the kimbanet networks as a whole or any equipment or system forming part of its systems, or any services provided over, or in connection with, any of the kimbanet. 

4)    Internet Service shall not be used to transmit any communication where the meaning of the message, or its transmission or distribution, would violate any applicable law or regulation or would likely be highly offensive to the recipients thereof. 

5)    Advertising may not be “broadcast” or otherwise sent on an intrusive basis to any user of the Internet Service or any directly or indirectly attached network.  However, when requested by a user of the networks, product information, and other commercial messages are permitted to be transmitted over the network.  Discussion of a product’s relative advantages and disadvantages by users of the product, and vendors’ responses to those who pose questions about their products, may be made available over the kimbanet networks. 

kimbanet customers shall not, nor shall they permit or assist others, to abuse or fraudulently use kimbanet Internet Services, including but not limited to the following: 

a) Send unsolicited e-mail that causes complaints from the recipients of such unsolicited e-mail; or,

b) Mailbomb (send large quantities of unwanted or unsolicited e-mail to individual e-mail accounts); or,

c) Make unauthorized attempts to gain access to any account or computer resource not belonging to that user (spoofing); or,

d) Obtain or attempt to obtain service by any means or device with intent to avoid payment; or,

e) Gain unauthorized access, alter, destroy, or make any attempt thereof, to any information of another kimbanet customer by any means or device; or,

f)  Knowingly engage in any activities that will cause a denial of service (e.g., synchronized number sequence <SYN> attacks) to any kimbanet customers or end-users; or,

g)  Use kimbanet Internet Services to interfere with the use of the kimbanet network by other customers or authorized users, or in violation of the law or in aid of any unlawful act.
